Teen-led Ultimate Frisbee tournament held as part of Global Youth Service Day
Money raised will provide free kayak day for Pittsburgh youth and families
What: Pittsburgh teens will contribute to Global Youth Service Day on Saturday, April 25 through nrg Powered by Pittsburgh – a community-wide Ultimate Frisbee tournament raising money to improve access to outdoor recreation opportunities for youth and families. The tournament is hosted by the Penn State Hershey Center for Nutrition and Activity Promotion (Center) and is Highmark Healthy High 5, a children’s health promotion initiative of the Highmark Foundation. Families and friends are invited to attend and participate in a community health fair and activities including free health screenings from
Kindred Hospital; climbing wall and geocaching from Venture Outdoors, and Frisbee®-related contests from PHUL.
