The Mexican War Streets will host a movie production crew in a few weeks, according to the movie’s publicist and Dawn Keezer, director of the Pittsburgh Film Office.
The movie, “Love & Other Drugs,” is directed by Edward Zwick — known for “Glory” and “Legends of the Fall” — and stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.
“Love & Other Drugs” is based on the book “Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman” by Jamie Reidy, in which the author writes about his experiences as a sales representative for drug manufacturing giant Pfizer.
Gyllenhall will play the Pfizer sales rep, and Hathaway will play a woman with early-onset Parkinson’s disease that he meets on a sales call.
Nancy Mosser Casting, located in Butler, will handle extras, stand-ins, photo-doubles and silent bits for the movie. More information on casting can be found at www.mossercasting.com.
