Tell the city how to use its money!
The City of Pittsburgh is holding two public hearings on the 2011 capital budget and Community Development Block Grant funding. Residents are welcome to tell the city what they think of its prior use of funds, and what they’d like to see addressed next year.
To sign up to speak, contact the Department of Neighborhood Initiatives at 412.255.2439 by this Friday, Aug. 13.
The first hearing will be at the Brighton Heights Senior Center (3515 McClure Street) on Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
The second is on the South Side at the South Side Senior Center (12th and Bingham streets), Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m.
Check back with The Chronicle that week for coverage of the first hearing. We hope to see some of our neighbors out there!
