Observatory open house “sold out”
Tickets for the Allegheny Observatory’s annual open house were “sold out” the first week in August. The event is free, but does require an RSVP.
Fortunately, if you weren’t able to grab your own tickets, you can check out The Northside Chronicle’s coverage of the tour online in October and (most likely) in print in the November issue.
This year’s open house is October 1, and includes a tour of the facilities and a chance to look through some of the telescopes.
Amateur astronomers set up outside the building and usually let people waiting in line or those who have already gone through look through their telescopes as well.
The tour is a great time, and if you aren’t going this year, mark your calendars for next year!
