Park House’s second annual BrewHaHa ends in tie
The battle to determine which holiday beer tastes better — He’Brew’s Messiah Bold or Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale — ended in a draw.
The Park House hosted its second annual Holiday BrewHaHa from Dec. 1 to 9, and the winner was decided based on sales of each beer.
“It was a tie. It was a big surprise,” said owner Zamir Zahavi.
Last year, the first year Zamir held the competition, Troeg’s Mad Elf Ale won “hands down” against the Messiah Bold.
He timed the BrewHaHa to coincide with Hannukah. The first night featured a complimentary tasting of both beers, and Zamir said he had a full house.
Next year, he thinks the BrewHaHa will feature Great Lakes Christmas Ale against the Messiah Bold. In the meantime, it’s not to late to try the competitors in this year’s competition at the Park House on East Ohio Street.
