The Priory Hotel will have its weekly wine tasting Thursday night. Guests can sample four wines while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment.
Saturday November 5
What: Rock-a-thon
Where: 1028 Benton Ave.
When: noon-4 p.m.
Little Sisters of the Poor will host the first annual Rock-A-Thon at their Home for the elderly poor at 1028 Benton Ave., Brighton Heights. Sister Judith, administrator of Pittsburgh Home, invites you to join them for a fun filled afternoon. The funds raised from this event will be directed toward the purchase of a much needed therapeutic whirlpool bath tub for the nursing unit Residents.
Similar to a walk-a-thon where walkers solicit donations for each mile walked, our Rockers will solicit sponsors for 15 minute increments of rocking. Residents, Sisters, Volunteers, Friends—everyone is welcome to participate.
This family friendly event will include appearances by Johnny Angel of Johnny Angel and the Halos and Pittsburgh’s premier Elvis impersonator, Don Obusek. There will also be a DJ, a bake sale, and even a cake walk. It will be a day of fun for all ages!
