From PennDOT– PennDOT District 11 is announcing bridge inspections will occur on several overpasses on I-279 (Parkway North) in the area of Tripoli Street and North Avenue in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Monday through Wednesday, May 14-16.
The inspections will require short-term single lane closures in both directions of the Parkway North between Exit 2A and the Veterans Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Crews from CDM Smith and the Pittsburgh Rigging Company will be performing the inspections.
Motorists are advised to use caution, slow down, and be prepared for changing traffic patterns when traveling through the area.
