Thirty Rivers Casino employees spent Saturday August 29 in Manchester putting in volunteer hours at the North Shore Community Alliance, as part of Rivers’ service outreach program.

“What better way to support the people and needs of our immediate community than helping out the NCA that’s right around the block,” said Craig Clark, general manager of Rivers Casino. “Our team members enjoy making a difference for others and really get into the philanthropic spirit.”

The North Shore Community Alliance house provides emergency services and shelter facilities for more than 300 individuals and families every year. 

Providing the community with crisis in-home services, workforce development, parenting, youth programs, housing (emergency and transitional), food and clothing banks and senior programs, the NCA strives to develop permanent change to the “temporary” family crisis that trouble members of the community.

“Thanks to the support of Rivers Casino and other corporate contributors, we’re able to meet the changing needs of our community,” said Carol Washington, executive director of the NCA.
