Through February 3, Children’s Museum guests can bounce, jump, roll, run and walk through a 30-foot inflatable “jumpy” art piece created by Felipe Dulzaides and on loan from The New Children’s Museum, in San Diego CA. Missing Links is made possible through the sponsorship of UPMC Health Plan and the support of The Hillman Foundation.
What: Space Place
Where: The Carnegie Science Center
When: All day
Carnegie Science Center’s new permanent lets visitors discover more about what it’s like to be an astronaut.
International Space Station Modules:
Explore sections of a two-story, walk-in replica of the International Space Station. Visitors will get to conduct simulated hands-on experiments and learn about life in space. Out-of-this-world interactives include:
Remote Manipulator Simulation (RMS)
Microgravity Science Glovebox (MSG)
Waste and Hygiene Compartment
Personal Habitat Quarters
Window Observational Research Facility (WORF)
Live feed from the real ISS …
