Brightwood celebrates fall with annual Pumpkinfest
This weekend Brightwood Civic Group celebrated the fall season with its annual Pumpkinfest.
About 500 Northside residents and their children came to Horace Mann field for face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo, a moon bounce and of course pumpkin picking, all sponsored by the neighborhood.
“The kids were SO happy to be there,” said Beth Hutton, Project Manager of the Brighton Road Corridor Vacant Land Project. “Overall, a very successful event.”
City Council President Darlene Harris was there and vendors like CHIP/UPMC, Coston Funeral Home, Carnegie Library, Brightwood Civic Group and the Brighton Road Corridor Vacant Land Project set up tables with activities and information.
Hampton International BBQ truck run by a Brightwood resident Conrad Hampton, was also on site.
