Northside Public Safety: March 2014- Keep property secure
The Northside Public Safety Council would like to remind residents that with an increase of burglaries, to keep all property secure and doors and windows locked.
“First floor doors and windows should always be locked, and any lights outside of the house will help keep intruders away,” said Northside Public Safety Council President David Stacy.
On the Northside in February, there were approximately 408 incidents were reported, which led to approximately 168 arrests.
The Northside Public Safety Council is a nonprofit corporation composed of community leaders, businesses, government officials the Housing Authority, property owners and the Zone 1 Pittsburgh Police.
The Northside Public Safety Committee meets the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. on the mezzanine level of The Northside Leadership Conference’s offices at 4 Allegheny Center. All are welcome.
