Spring Resurrection Festival this Sunday
On Easter Sunday the Brown Chapel Church, 1400 Boyle St., will host its Northside Community Spring Resurrection Festival during Sunday School hours.
Beginning at 9 a.m., the free festival will start with the Resurrection Egg Hunt, followed by a breakfast at 9:30 a.m. At 10 a.m. after breakfast, a petting zoo for children will be set up.
Russell Bynums, a member of the Brown Chapel Church congregation, said the animals at the petting zoo will represent the Easter holiday, such as a lamb and rabbits.
At 11 a.m., a dramatic musical and video presentation by the Anointed Praize Choir will perform, including a dynamic mini-sermon by Reverend Andrew K. Newberry.
