The annual Observatory Hill House Tour will take place on Sunday, June 1, but attendees can expect something new this year.

Jane Sestric, the co-chairman of the house tour committee, said one or two trolleys will be rented from Molly’s Trolleys to take people around the area. A trolley and fit about 20 people.

The trolleys are being used so people will not have to drive themselves and it can “help people feel more relaxed and they can see more of the neighborhood,” Sestric said.

Sestric advises that those wishing to take the tour should arrive no later than 3:30 p.m. so they will have adequate time to make their rounds of the houses.

On the tour, visitors will be able to see the highest point in Pittsburgh that stands at the Brashear Reservoir above the intersection of Vinceton Street and Franklin Road.

This year’s House Tour begins at Riverview United Presbyterian Church on the corner of Perrysville and Riverview Avenues.

The tour will be from 1-5 p.m. and there will be 11 homes with added historic buildings on the tour. Tickets are $12 if purchased by May 20 and are $15 from May 21 until tour day.
