The NorthSide/NorthShore Chamber of Commerce held its annual holiday gala Thursday night, Dec. 4 at the Priory Hotel in Historic Deutschtown, which include silent auctions and giveaways during a night filled with fun.
Pastor Ed Glover (speaking) of the Urban Impact Foundation accepted a $1,500 check from NS/NSCC board of directors president Paul Hoyson (left of Glover) to start the gala proceedings.
“You’ve been very generous and we are so thankful for the impact that you are making in the Northside of Pittsburgh through your donations and your cooperation. The Urban Impact is as good as its people.”
Following the check presentation Sara Grinder of the Urban Impact performed for those in attendance.
NS/NSCC executive director Robin Rosemary Miller shared her thanks for the community members.
“It’s just part of what we’re doing for the community. The Chamber is merging business with community and the non-profit community. I think that’s imprinted in our neighborhood.”

Other than silent auctions and giveaways, Wenning Entertainment provided one of the night’s highlights with a twist on the classical musical chairs. Participants had to find certain objects from the audience and bring them back in time to get a seat. More like a musical scavenger chairs hunt.
