Deutschtown Music Fest fundraiser this weekend aims to pay bands

Deutschtown Music Festival founder Cody Walters will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday, April 11 at North Shore’s the Andy Warhol Museum for this year’s 3rd annual Deutschtown Music Festival, which will take place in July 11. The event will begin at 8 p.m.
General admission tickets are $20, while VIP tickets, which include a Wigle Whiskey cocktail hour starting at 7 p.m., cost $30 each.
All proceeds will benefit the music festival. Walters will use the money to buy sound equipment and pay the roughly 100 bands that will be performing.
“All the bands have played voluntarily for the past few years,” Walters said. “The goal is to raise $10,000 to give each band $100.”
Walters has set up an Indiegogo campaign for people to send their donations. It will open this weekend and be open until the festival draws closer.
During the fundraiser, Beauty Slap, Big Gypsy, Chet Vincent & the Big Bend, and Andre Costello and the Cool Minors will perform. Wigle Whiskey and Working Breed will be putting on a special performance during the cocktail hour, which will include drinks and dancing.
Green Mountain Energy and Ziggy Sawdust Productions helped sponsor the event.
