A statue honoring Pittsburgh police dogs killed while on duty will be unveiled Saturday at Noon in the shadows of North Shore’s Heinz Field. The new statue is right beside the current police officers memorial.
The latest statue came to fruition after the death of police dog Rocco, who was stabbed by a suspect in Lawrenceville last year. The Law Enforcement Officers Memorial raised the funds for the statue, which totaled over $25,000.
