City of Asylum to host a “A Taste of the Future”
By Erika Fleegle
For the past 10 years, Central Northside’s City of Asylum has given writers and artists of all kinds the chance to grow and create on its Sampsonia Way haven. In the next year, City of Asylum’s programs will find another home in the new cultural center, Alphabet City, in the historic Masonic Hall building along W North Avenue.
City of Asylum will be hosting “A Taste of the Future,” an unveiling of the future plans and programs for Alphabet City Aug. 29.
The event will be hosted at the home of host committee members Todd Palcic and Dorna Javadi at 1315 Arch Street. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Visitors will have the chance to preview hors d’oeuvres and paired wines from Alphabet City’s new award-winning restaurant.
Tickets for “A Taste of the Future” are $100. Follow the link to RSVP by Aug. 22.
Street parking will be available on and around Arch Street in the Mexican War Streets.
