Boy Scout Troops 228 & 81 will be holding a free event Feb. 27 at the Bidwell Presbyterian Church in Manchester. The celebration is to honor scout leader Alan Perry, who has served in the role for the past 44 years. A presentation will take place.

The event is from 4-6 p.m. and is free to the public. In a case where the event has to be rescheduled, the make-up date will be March 5.
