North American Rock Garden Society: Allegheny Chapter
The Allegheny Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society maintains the rock garden located outside of the National Aviary, which is the largest rock garden in the tristate area.
Members can usually be found maintaining the rock garden on the second and fourth Thursday’s of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. On these days, before heading over to the garden, the group gets breakfast at the Allegheny Sandwich Shop, 822 Western Ave., at 9 a.m.
Meetings are held monthly, and membership is free for first timers. The next meeting is at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 26 at DJs Greenhouse in Transfer, Pa. with speaker Kokedamas Workshop. Breakfast will be provided. For more information, click here.
