Event to focus on the state of NS homeless
The New Hazlett Theater, 6 Allegheny Square East, will host a One Northside Knowledge Session on overcoming homelessness in the Northside on Wednesday, August 31.
From 6-8 p.m., the session will include information on the current state of homelessness on the Northside and “a panel discussion from various Northside homeless service professionals as well as stories of hope from individuals who has successfully moved off the streets,” according to the event website.
The event is sponsored by the One Northside homelessness subcommittee and the Northside Homeless Alliance. The event will be moderated by Diana Bucco, president of the Buhl Foundation. Other participating organizations include: Light of Life Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, Pittsburgh Dream Center, Mission from Mars, LIVING Ministry, Northside Common Ministries, and Operation Safety Net.
The event is free and a light dinner will be provided for attendees.
