Rally to be held to connect, celebrate Brighton Heights community
As a follow-up to the “Prayer Rally for Peace,” the “Love Your Neighbor” Rally will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 8 at Legion Park in Brighton Heights.
The event is for all ages and was created to “provide a great opportunity to connect” with neighbors and “celebrate the Brighton Heights community,” according to a press release.
Legion Park is located at the intersections of Brighton Road, Davis Avenue, and Shadeland Avenue. Different churches, organizations, and business from the community will set up booths around the park that will feature a fun activity for adults and children. There is also be music, door prizes, and an inflatable “rock climb” and slide that is free for kids to use.
“Brighton Heights is one of the jewels of the Northside and we want to show it off and celebrate our neighborhood,” said Rick Weiss, minister at Emmanuel Christian Church.
