The Pittsburgh Fire Department will also be there so kids can explore a fire engine, and Reading is FUNdamental will be on site as well as the Carnegie Library-Woods Run branch.
“It’s an opportunity for local families to enjoy the fall season and have a great day,” Noszka said.
WesBanco and Providence Family Center will also have booths set up during the event.
Noszka said there is a call for people who would like to participate, like artists if they would like to set up a booth or volunteer to work with the kids on an art project. Those who would like to participate can email Noszka at nnoszka@hotmail.com or call (302) 438-0109.
Toni Annis, Pumpkinfest committee chair, said she has been involved with the event for years as her mother was the person who started the event in Brightwood. Annis said it was always something that her, her mother and her sister Diane Annis-Dixon came together to help produce.
