National Night Out 2017, volunteers needed
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Its main goal is to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. The National Night Out program culminates annually on the first Tuesday of August with neighbors participating in events across thousands of communities.
Allegheny City Central Association is planning to hold its National Night Out Street Party on Tuesday, August 1. During the Street Party, neighbors can join together to enjoy food, music, and lots of activities for the kids.
ACCA is looking for volunteers to plan and accomplish the tasks that will make this year’s National Night Out be the best that it can be. If you would like to be involved in this important neighborhood event, contact ACCA by emailing safety@accapgh.org or by calling 412-204-6116.
Marshall-Shadeland, Brighton Heights and Brightwood are also holding an event on August 1 for National Night Out at Providence Connections and Carnegie Library-Woods Run. For more information and how to volunteer, click here.
