Save the date for this year’s African American Heritage Day Parade starting at 11 a.m. Parade meets in the Quik-It Chicken parking lot on Pennsylvania Avenue and ends at Manchester Field. Join Ceinwen King-Smith for an evening of family-friendly storytelling at City of Asylum. King-Smith is blind and retired from teaching English and Russian internationally two years ago. Submarine Tour at the Carnegie Science Center

Explore the USS Requin Submarine with a tour starting at 9 a.m. Go behind the scenes and see the conning tower and periscope! Cost is $15 for members; $20 for non-members.
