In this episode, Northside Chronicle Managing Editor, Ashlee Green talks with Wayne Alling, resident of Observatory Hill, who recently won the Ray Mansfield Memorial Award for Youth and Community Service. This past July, he was inducted, alongside Rocky Blaier, into the Minor League Football Hall of Fame in the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum at the Heinz History Center.
Alling is a member and former President of the Rotary Club of Pittsburgh’s Northside and a former member of the 1996 Clarion Football Team, who moved through the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and advanced to the Division II NCAA Tournament Final Four. He’s the owner of two Nationwide Insurance agencies in Pittsburgh.
