Historic preservation tax credits awarded for two Northside buildings
Tax credits recently awarded to building renovation projects in the Northside will fund two affordable housing ventures.

On August 10, State Representative Jake Wheatley announced $530,000 worth of historic preservation tax credits were awarded to four building renovation projects in Pittsburgh, two of which are in the Northside.
A tax credit allocation of $86,303 will go toward $345,211 in total estimated construction costs for 521 Armandale Street, a historic row house in the Mexican War Streets Historic District, and a tax credit allocation of $43,697 will go toward $182,855 in total estimated construction costs for 1010 Morrison Street, a historic row house in the Old Allegheny Rows Historic District.
Both buildings will be turned into affordable housing. The Historical Preservation Tax Credit program is administered by The Department of Community and Economic Development and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
