Northside Public Safety Council Meeting
The Northside Public Safety Council (NSPSC) meets on the first Thursday of every month with the Zone 1 Police Department starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Manchester Citizens Corporation (MCC), 1319 Allegheny Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15233. This month, a speaker from The Red Cross will address fire safety and how to apply for your home to have smoke alarms installed free of charge. Board Game Night at Threadbare

Big Band Swing Dancing with the Jazz Conspiracy
Every first and third Thursday of the month, join the Jazz Conspiracy band at the Allegheny Elks Lodge #339, 400 Cedar Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15212. Fish Fry Friday at Riverview Church
“It’s like Lent in September!” Every Friday in September, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., come to Riverview Presbyterian Church and enjoy hand-battered fish, shrimp, french fries, pierogies, cole slaw and more. Teutonia Mannerchor’s Third Annual Oktoberfest
On Friday, September 7 and Saturday, September 8, Teutonia Mannerchor, the “premier German Singing and Cultural Society in Western Pennsylvania,” will host its Third Annual Oktoberfest from 5 to 10 p.m. This year’s fest will be held in “Traditional Münchener Style” and feature beer from Hacker-Pschorr in Munich and specialty beer from Pittsburgh Brewing and Straub’s of St. Mary’s. RP Day at Riverview Park
Hosted by the Friends of Riverview Park, the Northside Leadership Conference and Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, RP Day is the first-ever celebration of Riverview Park. Pittsburgh Urban Farm Tour
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., experience a self-guided tour of small farms, community gardens and apiaries throughout Pittsburgh. Northside farms featured during the tour are Ballfield Farm in Perry Hilltop and the Drew Mathieson Center in Chateau. Admission price is $15 per person; Free for kids 12 years and under. 49th Annual Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour

Boxing & Barrels at the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse & Whiskey Garden
