Panel on Public Engagement

“Stoop is a Verb” Community Night

Artist Oliver Lake interviewed Northside residents, then sampled and mixed phrases from the interviews into the music of this 70-minute jazz show. The show incorporates music, spoken word, vocals and dance. Music is provided by the Oliver Lake Quintet: Yoichi Uzeki on piano, Robert Sabin on bass, Gene Lake on drums and Bruce Williams on alto and soprano sax.
