Providence Connections seeking adult mentors for Northside kids
Providence Connections, a Northside nonprofit providing childcare programs and family support services, is seeking adult mentors for a 12-week opportunity on Wednesday evenings starting February 20.
Providence Connections, a nonprofit organization supporting children and their families from the Northside, is looking for new and devoted volunteers to mentor toddlers and school-age kids. Participating adult volunteers will be paired with children during activities where everyone is involved with learning, creating and having fun.
This is a 12-week volunteer opportunity and will take place every Wednesday evening beginning February 20 and ending May 15. Providence Connections staff will assist in the activities.
There are two available time slot options for volunteers. From 5:30 to 7 p.m., mentors have the opportunity to enjoy dinner with kids and families and then assist with designated activities at 6 p.m.
From 6 to 7:30 p.m., mentors help kids with guided activities and end the evening with a group play session.
