Light of Life warming station now open in Northside
Light of Life Rescue Mission in the Northside is preparing to help the homeless and those seeking warmth during the upcoming cold snap.

Light of Life Rescue Mission, located at 10 E. North Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, has their doors open to help the homeless and those with nowhere to go to escape the cold weather. The warming gate and chapel will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and winter accessories such as hats, gloves and hand warmers are available for people who have a need. Hot chocolate and snacks are will also be available for Light of Life guests to enjoy. These extra services are provided to keep people safe and to meet the critical needs of people coming to Light of Life for help.
Ultimately, Light of Life’s desire is to build relationships with those who come for help and get them connected to programs or community resources. Staff will be on site to provide case management in the warming center for those who are interested. Breakfast and dinner are served daily at Light of Life to those in need.
