Quantum Theatre’s annual Q Ball was held on Saturday, March 23, at HIP at the Flashlight Factory in the Northside. VIP guests started the night with a show by the Afro Yaqui Music Collective as well as theater and dance performances.
At 8 p.m., DJ Big Phill provided the sounds for a dance party that lasted until close. Food was provided by Kate Romane’s Black Radish Kitchen and specialty cocktails were served featuring Maker’s Mark and Sipsmith Gin. Silent auction items included signed copies of award-winning novels and a tote bag from Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures, a “Starlit Strip” package including admission passes to Heinz History Center and a chef’s table dinner for two with wine pairings at Bar Marco, and a photographic print of Northside residences by Bruce Crocker.
Guests were prompted to wear what “gets their heart on,” to go along with this year’s theme, “the enduring power of love.”
