East Ohio St. ramp to northbound Rt. 28 closing this weekend for lighting improvements
The ramp from East Ohio Street to northbound Route 28 will be closed from Friday night through Monday morning, April 26 to 29, weather permitting.
According to a press release from PennDOT District 11, the ramp will close to traffic from 10 p.m. Friday night continuously through 6 a.m. Monday morning as crews remove and install a high mast light pole. Ramp traffic will be detoured.
The detour is as follows:
From East Ohio Street, turn right onto Chestnut Street
Turn left onto Progress Street
Turn left onto Heinz Street
Take the ramp to northbound Route 28
End detour
Additionally, two lanes will be closed on the southbound Route 28 ramp to East Ohio Street at the intersection with Chestnut Street. The lane closure will occur from 10 p.m. Friday night continuously through 6 a.m. Monday morning. The ramp will remain open to traffic.
