Stories That Heal: Corrine Jasmine at Alphabet City
Join for a reading with Corrine Jasmine, as part of the NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania’s Stories That Heal reading series. This program will be held downstairs in the intimate Word Cellar. Stories That Heal is a series that highlights local authors who live with and/or have a loved one who lives with mental health conditions. Baseball Skills Workshop at PNC Park
Allegheny Health Network (AHN) has partnered with the Pittsburgh Pirates in an annual effort to raise awareness and funds to help support cancer care at the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute. This year, the annual fundraiser runs from 9 a.m. to noon (check in begins at 8:30 a.m.) at PNC Park, on field, and will feature a baseball skills workshop and an opportunity to meet Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon and first basemen Josh Bell. There will be five workshop stations at the event including catching, catching pop-ups, fielding ground balls, throwing, and batting practice. There will be a question and answer session in the PNC Park stands with some Pittsburgh Pirates, including Taillon and Bell at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome and eligible to participate. Fans can register the day of the event, however, space is limited. Sign up today to reserve your spot at CatchForCancer.org Families and friends of participants are welcome to watch from the stands. All participants should to bring their own glove.
Neighborhood Clean Up in Observatory Hill
From 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, June 1st, help pretty up the neighborhood before the house tour event. Meet in the parking lot across from Schorr’s Bakery. Tools and trash bags will be there. First everyone will pick up the business district and head over to the Acorn Hill area which is the central location for the house tour event.

Observatory Hill: In A Nutshell Annual house tour runs from Noon to 5pm on Sunday, June 2 and will feature unique homes and gardens of Acorn Hill. Come hungry and eat lunch at the Riverview Café located in the social hall of the Riverview United Presbyterian Church.
