Thursday, September 5
Artist Residencies with Immigrant and Refugee Communities: Reception and Celebration
Please join the A to celebrate the Artist Residencies with Immigrant and Refugee Communities program as it draws to a close! Learn more about the artists, their collaborators, and the creative projects that they have implemented. Doors open at 6 PM, opening remarks and presentations from teams at 6:30 PM. This event is family-friendly, and all members of the community are invited to join. The event will be catered by Zafaron Afghan Cuisine and Sprezzatura, with a non-alcoholic bar by Empath. ASADO at Allegheny City Brewing
All summer at Allegheny City Brewing the ASADO food truck will be serving food on Thursdays. “Featuring the same wood-fired fare Gaucho is known for, ASADO brings the fire to you!” Goes from 5 p.m. “until the meat runs aht!” More information available via Facebook.

Northside Farmers Market in Allegheny Commons Park
Did you know the Citiparks Farmers Market accepts ACCESS cards? Check it out this and every Friday for the summer from 3 to 7 p.m. at Allegheny Commons Park at the corner of East Ohio Street and Cedar Avenue. Bar Climb: Troy Hill and Spring Garden
The Bar Crawl is going vertical! Beer, whiskey, cider and cocktails for you in Spring Garden and Troy Hill. Start at Threadbare Cider House, climb city steps to Spring Hill Brewery, Penn Brewery and the Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse & Whiskey Garden. You’ll get a walking trail map when you start at Threadbare Cider House between 5-8 PM. Food and drink specials for registered bar climbers will be offered at each location once you pick up your map! Good Friday at The Andy Warhol Museum
For a more social experience, The Warhol Museum is open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and offers half-price museum admission and a cash bar beginning at 5 p.m. More information available here.

Providence Connections Ice Cream Social
Providence Connections Parent Council is raising money to help families on the Northside. They are also donating part of the proceeds to Jeremiah’s Place Emergency Nursery to help families in crisis who need a safe place for their children to go. PGH Record Night at The Park House
First Saturday of the Month is coming up which means #pghrecordnight is back in action at The Park House! So stop on out and sign up to dj your very own half an hour set!

TQ Live! at The Andy Warhol Museum
TQ Live! presents a queer evening of dazzling performance, dance, poetry, comedy, resplendent fantasies, music, and more. This sixth annual performance series features artists and performers from the many LGBTQIA communities in the Pittsburgh region. This program is produced by Scott Andrew, Joseph Hall, and Suzie Silver. Hosted by Joseph Hall, this year’s line-up includes performances by Anna Azizzy, Amelia Bande, Tsohil Bhatia, Jesse Factor, Princess Jafar, Dani Janae and Ginger Brooks Takahashi, with additional surprise video and performance works. 50th Annual Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour
The Mexican War Streets House & Garden Tour is the oldest and finest house tour in the city of Pittsburgh. During this 50th annual event, held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors will be treated to a leisurely, self-guided tour of homes and gardens throughout the historic neighborhood on Pittsburgh’s Northside. Pittsburgh Police K-9 Unit Meet & Greet
People sometimes take for granted what Police Officers and K-9 Units do on a daily basis. To show appreciation, Wagsburgh has partnered with Pittsburgh Police to help build awareness and raise money for the Officer Rocco K-9 Memorial Fund. The fund has been created to provide on-going care, training and support for the City of Pittsburgh Police Bureau – Canine Division. This week, stop by from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to meet Officer Merkel & Cappy (Scent Discrimination). More information is listed on the Facebook event page.
