Northside Elected Officials Roster 2019
The general election was held yesterday, Nov. 5. Here are the results for Northside districts on the 2019 ballot as well as current district seats that the newly elected will be working with. Together, they will represent the Northside as a whole.

SCHOOL BOARD
NEW District 2: Devon Taliaferro, Democrat, won for the Pittsburgh School District Board of Directors in District 2. She will take the place of Dr. Regina B. Holley, who was first elected as a representative of District 2 in 2011. Taliaferro’s term will run from December 2019 until December 2023.
NEW District 8: Kevin Carter, Democrat, was reelected for the Pittsburgh School District Board of Directors in District 8. His term will run until December 2023.
District 9 was not on the ballot. Veronica Edwards, who represents this district, was not up for reelection this year. Edwards began her term as the second vice president of the Pittsburgh School District Board of Directors. Her term will end in November 2021.
PITTSBURGH CITY COUNCIL
NEW District 1: Following 12 years in office, District 1 Councilwoman Darlene Harris’ term has ended. Bobby Wilson, Democrat, of Spring Hill, won. He will start his term in January 2020 and it will run through December 2024.
District 6 was not on the ballot. Councilman Daniel Lavelle, Democrat, was not up for reelection this year. Councilman Lavelle was first sworn into office on Pittsburgh’s City Council back in January 2010. He was reelected in both December 2013 and December 2017. His term will end in December 2021.
