Artist’s Talk with D.S. Kinsel at City Books
“Join City Books for an intimate discussion with D.K. Kinsel. A renowned Pittsburgh artist, Kinsel with talk about his photographs and street art practice of creating temporary unsanctioned sculptures/installations of public art in urban settings. His exhibition Totems, Shrines, & Sacraments (showing in the City Books IAMB Gallery through Feb. 29) takes the viewer on a journey through cities such as Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Austin, Houston, Miami, Detroit, Providence, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Mayaguez to experience the beauty of his sculptures first hand. Laser-Cut Valentine’s Day Cards at Carnegie Science Center
“Design and create your very own laser-cut Valentine’s Day cards in the BNY Mellon Fab Lab at Carnegie Science Center, Pittsburgh’s digital makerspace. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who also registers for the workshop. Session times include: 11 am, 12:15 pm, and 1:30 pm. Friend and photography enthusiast, Debbie Thomas, will be taking pictures that will be available electronically for order or download.
