The Northside North Shore Chamber serves the business community in and around the Northside and has been doing so since 1897. We currently have 240 member businesses, and we serve them by promoting, connecting, and supporting.
Here are some of our recent activities and updates.

New Members: We were pleased to welcome the following four companies as new members in the past month: Kate Kay Real Estate and Design Consulting, North Shore Tavern, Third Ward Architecture, and U Acknowledge Notary.

Awards Luncheon
More than 200 people are expected to attend the Annual Business Awards Luncheon on June 1 to celebrate “Next Generation Northside.” There will be a keynote speech from Mayor Ed Gainey and awards for emerging leaders.
The following Emerging Leader Awards will be presented to individuals under 40 years of age who were nominated based on positive impact on the Northside community and a dedication to excellence in their business or profession.
Andrew Reichert, Birgo
Chuck Schons, Huntington Bank
Erin Tobin, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy
Kate Kay, Kate Kay Consulting
Congratulations to these emerging leaders as well as to Joan Gennarini of Rekindled Spirits, the recipient of the annual MVP Award for Most Visible Professional!
Youth Career Exploration
The chamber’s workforce development program is NorthSideWorks!, which communicates and creates opportunities with a wide range of partners. One of the partnerships is with Propel Northside and their Community Wellness Center.
Monthly from January to June, NorthSideWorks! staff gathered employers and training providers to speak with Propel middle school students about various career pathways and success. Each “Paving the Pathways” session focused on a different career path: entrepreneurship, finance and business, hospitality, health care, and skilled trades.
Thank you to the companies and organizations that lent their input and expertise: Allegheny General Hospital, Auberle, Café on the Corner, CCAC – Business Department, CCAC – Culinary Department, Citizens Bank, Local 5 Union, Nolen Painting and Decorating, SHINE Mobile Car Detailing, and Triangle Tech.
The Northside North Shore Chamber prides itself on being approachable and genuine as we promote, connect, and support our members.
