Steelworkers Tower Senior Apartments, located at 2639 Perrysville Ave., celebrated its 30th anniversary on April 25, marking the occassion with a variety of activities for the senior residents, including music and a remembrance held for former residents who have passed away. On top of that, Perry Hilltop Citizens Council presented a C.A.R.I.N.G. plaque to Steelworkers Tower Service Coordinator Cherene McFadden and the staff of the senior apartments, and a speech was also given by Jake Wheatley, chief of staff for Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey.
