State Rep. Powell Come meet Rep. Powell and her team at District Office Open House
District 21 News: Rep. Powell
My first couple of months in my new role as your State Representative have been busy as I have been hard at work in Harrisburg passing legislation to bring back positive changes to our community. From safeguarding abortion rights to securing funding for our higher education institutions to ensure lower tuition rates, I am proud of the work we are getting done in Pennsylvania.
I want to invite all of you to my District Office Open House on Dec. 9 from noon to 5 p.m. at 5154 Butler St., Pittsburgh. My staff and I look forward to meeting new faces, helping with state services, and learning about the legislative work that needs to be done in Harrisburg. The office will also be a stop on the Lawrenceville Cookie Tour so come ready to enjoy district made cookies and activities for kids and kids-at-heart alike.
Currently, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is available to assist people facing crisis situations with their heating utility bills. As well, Pennie applications are currently open. Pennie assists Pennsylvanian residences in finding affordable health insurance coverage that matches their needs and budget. For both programs, my office can assist in the application process. Give us a call or stop by at any time during our hours listed below.
While I am in Harrisburg, my district office staff will be here to help right in our home, Pittsburgh. My district is located at 5154 Butler St. We are open and ready to serve you, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and by appointment in the evenings on Wednesdays. We also have office hours at our Shaler office at the Shaler Municipal Building located at 300 Wetzel Rd., 2nd floor, Glenshaw, PA 15116. We will be there every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or any weekday by appointment.
For the holidays, our district office will be closing at noon on Dec. 22 and will be closed until Jan. 2, 2024. We will return to regular business hours on the 2nd. Have a safe and relaxing holiday season!
