On behalf of the Northside North Shore Chamber of Commerce Selection Committee, we are proud to welcome and introduce our new executive director!
Carrie Nolan-Robson comes with an extensive and complementary background that is aligned with the Chamber’s mission of promoting, connecting and supporting the Northside business community. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education.
Her diverse and impressive background extends into the fields of education, government, workforce development, and marketing. Her experience in Heidelberg Borough saw leadership accomplishments that resulted in forging strategic alliances with local, county, state and federal legislators.
These accomplishments align with meeting the governmental and community needs of the Northside community. She served in two governmental agencies when the President of Heidelberg Borough: South Hills Area Community of Governments (SHACOG) and CONNECT. She is a Local Government Academy (LGA) graduate of 2014. Carrie has served on the Chartiers Valley Education Foundation and the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board’s Youth Advisory Committee. She currently serves on the Advisory Committee for Butler County Community College Cranberry Branch and North Allegheny School District’s Counseling Advisory Board.
Her former role as the Business Community Liaison for Pittsburgh Job Corps allowed her to build many strong partnerships within the workforce community and various chambers across the region. This experience will be an invaluable asset to the work that is now occurring with NorthSideWorks!. To help advance the Chamber’s programs, Carrie’s experience was developing, expanding, and growing programs as the Director of Events and Programs for the 900+ person Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber. Her chamber experience along with her workforce development experience has her ready to step into the role of Executive Director with excitement, energy and enthusiasm!
Together with her husband, Frank, she resides in Heidelberg Borough. Join us in welcoming Carrie to the Northside community, her new work neighborhood.
Special thanks to the Search Committee for their time, efforts, and guidance to start this important next chapter of the Northside North Shore Chamber. We also thank Gina Grone for her six years of service to the chamber and wish her well on her future endeavors.
