Northside Chronicle adds new subscription options
By Sean P. Ray | Managing Editor
The Northside Chronicle’s subscription drive is continuing for another month, but now with multiple new options for subscribing to the newspaper.
Two new possible subscriptions are now available, providing more choice on how you can support your local paper.
Are you a long-time subscriber who knows you’ll be keeping up your subscription for years to come and want to save some money? We are now offering a two-year subscription plan for $110, saving you $10 compared to the standard $60, one-year subscription. This plan is available both online and by filling out the form on page 2 of The Chronicle.
Are you considering subscribing to The Chronicle but want to give it a try before you commit? Or do you want to support us but $60 is too expensive at the moment? Our new monthly subscription, available at $7.99 per month, is perfect for you, keeping price down in the short-term.
This is a full value subscription, meaning you’ll both get the paper delivered to your door and access to the archive of digital editions on our website. The monthly subscription is only available through our website, thenorthsidechronicle.com/subscriptions/ Both of these new subscription options are eligible for entry into our prize drawing as part of our subscription drive. As a reminder, every new and renewing subscriber during the length of the drive will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card to North Shore Tavern. That means someone subscribing monthly will make a handy profit should they win, while a two-year subscriber will have only spent a net $10.
In addition, all subscriptions during the drive will go a lot longer to support The Northside Chronicle. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, all subscriptions during the drive will be matched, doubling your support.
Subscriptions are one of the best ways to help your local community newspaper and our mission of providing top-tier journalism to the Northside.
We do not know how long the drive will last, so subscribe as soon as possible to get entered into the drawing and to take advantage of the donor match.
We’ll be back next month with another drive update, as well as part three of our series on the state of the news industry. Our third part, focusing on the national news industry, has been delayed, but should appear in the November issue.
We want to thank all of our new subscribers for their support, and hope that anyone thinking of subscribing will be able to take advantage of the new subscription options.
