District 21 News: Rep. Powell reminds citizens to register to vote
By Rep. Powell
Hello neighbors, happy October! We’re meeting again in Harrisburg this month to continue the work our voters elected us to do – address rising costs, increase public safety, and protect the rights of all our neighbors.
With the election quickly approaching, please don’t forget to register to vote if you haven’t already! The deadline to do so is Oct. 21, and you can visit vote.pa.gov/Register to complete your application. Also, the last day to request a mail-in or absentee ballot is Oct. 29, and you can visit vote.pa.gov/ApplyMailBallot to complete the application.
We have an exciting, and free, license plate replacement event coming up with Sen. Lindsey Williams and Rep. Emily Kinkead on Oct. 10 from 4–6 p.m., at Ross Township’s Department of Public Works, 225 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Officers will be on hand to help you apply to replace your illegible/ damaged license plate. Once your new plate is ready, you can pick them up at one of our offices. While you’ll be able to stop by the event without pre-registering, we highly encourage you to register ahead of the event to save time. You can visit pahouse.com/LicensePlateReplacement to provide us with your information beforehand. We hope to see you there!
